"Over 100 Years of Hereford Knowledge and Experience-since 1910."
As a backgrounder, commercial cow-calf producer and food animal veterinarian I have certainly been exposed to many types of cattle. I have admired many of those breeds and been jealous of a couple. In the final analysis, all of those breeds need the consistent growth and hardiness of Canadian bred Horned Herefords. They are the only bulls that will take the spots off, won't throw greys and make black baldies.
All of our bulls are sold one at a time directly off our farm. You can see the bulls, their mothers, grandmothers and sisters.
We have consistently emphasized growth and muscle. What we raise will add selling weight to most any commercial herd. Best of all, the bulls are gentle and the calves are too.
Here are some pictures of some previously sold bulls.
This shows the real world result of our breeding program. These were Black White Face steers sired by our bulls. Born in February and March of 2008. Raised without creep and sent to feed on 3/2/09. 4.18 lbs of gain per day for 168 days and still had a 5.58 conversion.
Yes, these steers were fed too long but in the summer of 2009, the packers made up for lower numbers by forcing feeders to make larger carcasses. Thanks to the genetics of these steers, they turned a wreck into profit.
Where else can you find genetics that can give you this performance?
